Unmask Your Inner Beauty

Unmask Your Inner Beauty

It’s all about the masks these days. Do I use a mask or not? No, I’m not referring to the ongoing debate about protective masks but facial masks. Let’s face it we all need to take better care of our skin. Whether it’s not using enough sunscreen, failing to remove your makeup at night or dealing with the occasional breakouts, there’s always a need to revive your skin.

Facials are an important step in your skincare routine for cleansing, hydrating and exfoliating and shouldn’t be skipped. To start with hydration is so important. Be sure you are drinking plenty of water every day. Next choose a moisturizer that benefits your type of skin. Lastly always use a good sunscreen.

A facial preformed at a spa or at your local salon has the benefits of using steam to open up your pores for extractions of your blackheads and whiteheads and increase circulation through massage. It’s also a wonderful way to reward you and take a moment to indulge in a little pampering for yourself.

If visiting a spa or your local salon isn’t quite in your budget for regular tune-ups, try to include a visit maybe once a quarter or so with in home treatments in between. There are a lot of great over the counter facial masks on the market today or you can create your own to use by simply searching the internet.

With a little effort and time your natural glow will begin to emerge and you’ll be on your way to a lifetime of healthy beautiful skin.
